In our second-to-last sermon in 1 Thessalonians, we will see how the Bible guides us into an honorable relationship with God that prepares us to meet Him.

Pastor Nate brings the message, "God-Honoring Relationships” from 1 Thessalonians 5:12-15. Relationships can be hard. Yet, they are rewarding when we follow God's word. In our study this week we will look at God's plan for 2 unique relationships in the church: 1) the relationship between pastors and congregation; and, 2) the relationship between members and... members.
Sunday Morning...Pastor Nate brings the message, "Great Expectation" from 1 Thessalonians 5:1-11. Christians live with the expectation that God will complete both a final judgment for those who oppose Him and a final salvation for those who believe in Him. This event will be the ultimate Day of the Lord. In light of that day, live with both anticipation and encouragement that God will save His people through it.
As we move into December, the anticipation of Jesus' arrival wells up within us. The earliest promise of Jesus' coming is found in Genesis 3:15. It covers God's sovereign grace, the conflict of sin, and the ultimate victory in which Satan and evil are ultimeately defeated through our Lord an Savior.
The message comes from 1 Thessalonians 1:2-3. One of the kindest gifts that God has given us is the local church family. He has blessed us with spiritual brothers and sisters who, although not perfect, genuinely care and love us for who we are in Christ. May our hearts be thankful to God for what He has given us.
We happily remember the times our dads kindly showed us a better way to hold a bat, tie a tie, turn a wrench, or how to read a book. We needed correction and they gently helped us. In our walk with God we need correction as well, and we'll look at Galatians 6:1-2 to see how the local church ought to be doing it.
