Pastor Nate brings the message, "God-Honoring Relationships” -Part 2 from 1 Thessalonians 5:16-22.  Jesus is coming back someday, and it is our privileged task to be ready to meet Him when He returns.  In our second-to-last sermon in 1 Thessalonians, we will see how the Bible guides us into an honorable relationship with God that prepares us to meet Him. 

Pastor Nate brings the message, "God-Honoring Relationships” from 1 Thessalonians 5:12-15.  Relationships can be hard.  Yet, they are rewarding when we follow God's word.  In our study this week we will look at God's plan for 2 unique relationships in the church: 1) the relationship between pastors and congregation; and, 2) the relationship between members and... members.

Sunday Morning...Pastor Nate brings the message, "Great Expectation" from 1 Thessalonians 5:1-11. Christians live with the expectation that God will complete both a final judgment for those who oppose Him and a final salvation for those who believe in Him.  This event will be the ultimate Day of the Lord.  In light of that day, live with both anticipation and encouragement that God will save His people through it.   

Pastor Nate brings the message, "Hope for Grieving Christians” from 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18.  A life-giving benefit in salvation is that Jesus will bring about a great reunion for all His people.  When He returns, all Christians (past and present) will be brought together.  Imagine what it will be like to be reunited with Christian friends and family members and always be with the Lord!  

Pastor Nate brings the message, "Love and Labor” from 1 Thessalonians 4:9-12.  As Paul continues his letter to the Christians in Thessalonica, he teaches on the practical responsibilities of 1) love that is carried out in one another's lives, and; 2) labor that minds one's own business.  God then uses those distinct practices in our lives to impact those around us for His glory.

Pastor Nate brings the message, "Pleasing God with Purity” from 1 Thessalonians 4:1-8.  It's no secret that sexual freedom has been a focal point of our society.  Why not?  We are pleasure-seekers after all. As we open up chapter 4 of 1 Thessalonians, God's Word directs us in a better path forward, one that keeps the pleasure of sexual activity within the safe boundaries of obedience to God.

Pastor Nate brings the message, "Increasing and Abounding in Love” from 1 Thessalonians 3:6-13.  What role does your love for others play in your standing before God? That's a question that Paul answers at the end of 1 Thessalonians 3.  When we see love flowing through our lives God is establishing us in holiness.

Pastor Nate brings the message, "Affliction, Meet Faith” from 1 Thessalonians 2:17-3:5.  Would it surprise you to hear that in God's wisdom He has so ordered our lives that we would come face to face with affliction?  Paul says that we are "destined for this."  But we are not left without hope.  In our sermon, we will see how faith tethers us to God so that we can remain established in Him.

Pastor Nate brings the message, "A Word that Works” from 1 Thessalonians 2:13-16.  When Paul defended his ministry in Thessalonica, he did so by pointing out the changes that happened in the lives of these new Christians.  People were changed, not because of Paul's speaking skills, but because they received the Word of God in faith.  As believers we can be thankful and confident that God has given His Word to be at work in our lives. 

Pastor Nate brings the message, "The Character of a Gospel Witness” from 1 Thessalonians 2:1-12.  One of the greatest blessings that God gives us is the privilege of sharing the Gospel with non-Christians.  It's a joyful moment knowing that God is very specifically using that moment for His glory.  As we long to practice evangelism more and more, Paul shows us four important lessons for being a Gospel Witness.

Pastor Nate brings the message, "Life-Changing" Part 2 from 1 Thessalonians 1:4-10. In the opening chapter of 1 Thessalonians we are seeing the power of the Gospel in the lives of believers.  Salvation does bring about change.  And, as a church we want to be that change for the glory of God and for encouragement and witness to those around us.   

Pastor Nate brings the message, "Life-Defining" from 1 Thessalonians 1:1-5.  This message begins a new sermon series in 1 Thessalonians where the opening verses present defining marks of God's salvation in our lives.  When we come to believe the Gospel, God empowers us to live changed lives that please and glorify Him.
