Our last sermon on the church, from Ephesians 1:11-14, is going to answer the question, "What is the Biblical purpose of the church?"  We also intend to see how the answer applies to our lives.

We happily remember the times our dads kindly showed us a better way to hold a bat, tie a tie, turn a wrench, or how to read a book.  We needed correction and they gently helped us.  In our walk with God we need correction as well, and we'll look at Galatians 6:1-2 to see how the local church ought to be doing it.

As we continue our short series on the church, from Titus 2:1-10, we see the character of the local church and the indispensable grace that makes it possible.

For the month of September we will be studying passages about the local church.  This week we will see, from 1 Corinthians 12:12-13, that God has arranged believers for the purpose of "togetherness."  And it doesn't always happen through formal ministry programs.
