In his cry to the Lord, David finds encouragement in the truth that God is a Refuge and Judge. That’s an interesting pair to put together as you consider safety…and eternal justice. There is a lot of moral turbulence going on in this world, but God’s perspective, Christians are going to be okay…and in all reality, much better than “okay.”

As a father loves his child and provides discipline when needed, so God loves us, His children, and brings discipline into our lives. In Psalm 6 David is experiencing such a time in his life and pleads with God to bring it to an end. It is a penitential psalm that will help us understand God and place our hope in Him.

Throughout Psalm 32 David expresses a joy in knowing that his transgressions against God can be forgiven and the steadfast love of God can be known personally in his life.
This message is from Psalm 84. What do you want? What do you want to lay hold of in life? For the Christian, there is an ocean of peace and satisfaction to enjoy when we want what God gives: Himself. Kind of makes you have pity for a lost world that will never know the peace of God through Jesus Christ.

He is too harsh and wrathful for me.” For the next few weeks we will look at several attributes of God beginning with His holiness. We will see a picture of God who came to us in Jesus and is consistent yesterday, today, and forever.
