Children’s Ministries during Remodel
Hello Parents,
With the building remodel there will be some changes in how we do Children’s Ministry for the upcoming weeks. The biggest difference will be how children get to class and how and where they get picked up. Outlined below are the differences. If you have children in our children's ministry programs, please take a look.
Junior Church
Make sure your children are checked in with a sticker.
Dismissal to Jr. Church: When children are dismissed to Junior Church, they will go to the back of the gymnasium where their teachers will be waiting for them. The teachers will then take them through the east gymnasium doors (red doors), outside to the east hallway doors (glass entrance doors) and to their classrooms from there. Security and Eric Emmons will help facilitate this transition.
All children will get a bathroom break at 11:40 am.
Pickup: If you plan on picking up your children after service you will need to go outside from the east gymnasium doors (the big red ones which is the entry) and go to the east hallway outside doors where someone will let you in after you show them your check-in sticker for your child(ren).
ABF Hour - Sunday School
Make sure your children are checked in with a sticker.
If your children are going to 2nd hour children’s Sunday school classes from the gymnasium, they will leave at the end of the service with the 5th-6th graders. Parents can walk their children to the Children’s Ministry hallway or they can go with 5th-6th grade teachers and split off to their regular classes.
Pickup: All children 4 years old - 4th graders will need to be picked up by their parents (or whoever has the check-in sticker). After service you will need to go to the east gymnasium doors (red doors) and go outside to the east hallway doors (glass doors) where someone will let you in after you show them your check-in sticker for your child(ren).
5th - 6th graders: 5th and 6th graders will be the one group that is brought to the gymnasium as the 2nd hour wraps up. They will be at the back of the gym and upon ABF dismissal will be allowed to find their parents. If you have a child who is nervous about this transition, they can remain at the back with security and you can pick them up at the back of the gymnasium.
The Big thing
If you are the parent of a child who will be attending either junior church or 2nd hour Sunday school, please make sure your child gets a tag and you have the matching tag. You will need to show this tag to get into the children's ministry hallway. Security and Eric Emmons will be at the back of the gymnasium and at the doors with the children, so if you have any questions please ask either one.
