Youth Outreach and Servant Ministries in Grand Haven

Sunday Afternoon Services at Christian Haven
Christian Haven, a local retirement home, loves our kids when they show up on Sunday afternoons to lead them in worship. The youth offer them personal attention and the residents adore them for it and can’t wait until the next time. In addition, these young people also provide invaluable assistance in Vacation Bible School and nurseries and other “servant” ministries.

First Priority and Fellowship of Christian Athletes
Most of our young people attend either Grand Haven or Spring Lake public schools. Andy Jaspers is involved in First Priority and Fellowship of Christian Athletes and encourage our youth to use them as avenues to share the gospel in those schools. Wednesday evening Youth Group is geared toward welcoming unbelieving youth to the wisdom of the Bible, the fellowship of Christians, and they have great fun in the process.

“On Goal” Soccer Camp…Leading people toward life’s greatest goal. Camp is June 26-July 1, 2017. On Goal Soccer Camps are designed to provide a fun and positive week of soccer training for players of all levels.  Through individual and team training, players will improve their fundamental skills and apply what they learn through small-sided games.  Each day includes many fun games and the popular Mini World Cup competition, emphasizing team play and good sportsmanship. This is for all kids K-8th.  Register by phone at 616.842.8240 or email: lsides@lakeshorebaptistchurch.com.

Vacation Bible School…coming up July 17-21 for 4 year olds – current 5th graders.  We’re using Answers in Genesis “Operation Arctic.”

Join us for our Vacation Bible School, where kids will have fun while learning from the Bible. In this day and age, it’s vital that we teach our children that the Bible is more than just a dusty book of stories. We need to show them God’s Word connects to every area of our lives and is as relevant today as it was thousands of years ago.  Click to register!

Youth Camps, Conferences and Mission Trips

Our Junior High kids attend Lincoln Lake Bible Camp each summer—in Gowen, Michigan, just east of Cedar Springs.

The Senior High will be attending D3 in Louisville, Kentucky this year (June 19-23). D3 is a nation-wide youth conference on the campus of Boyce College / Southern Seminary. A $50 down-payment is due on January 8th for those who are interested in attending. You can email Pastor Andy for more information on how to register.
